I’ve found a base like Gelous help, thick that will smooth the surface or you need a thick top coat+
Like Seche or Poshe— even more effective if you put a coat of gelous topped with Seche or Poshe.

I oil my nails and let it soak in. Then I use base coat and wrap the nail edge. ++
Then polish and finish with top coat.

Improve the health of your nails, (this is #1 IMO). Keep them out of water (rubber gloves are your +
friends), and as sprite26 says use a good base coat and top coat. A lot of people think it is too much bother to use a base and top but it makes a hug
