I think the oxidation theory is correct. Mine are now orange and I've worn no red, etc. So...
I think a preventative might be a gel base coat, something that doesn't blend in with the rest of the polish as I remove it. I think I'm going to try

Try a sticky base coat (plus top coat). Orly Bonder or CND Stickey are both great
