I was having this issue for weeks...this is what I did but YMMV ro
layers of habo labo gold hylaronic acid morning and night. Then in the morning I used either cerave cream or lotion, depending on how dry my skin was

Thanks all! I got the regular Cerva Cream and layered it with Aquaphor. It worked well last night

I agree with the Aquaphor or just plain Vaseline
