sounds more like an allergic reaction than a burn (itchy). A bit of hydrocortisone cream ++
under the Aquaphor should help.

Have you tried La Mer to hydrate your skin. Aquaphor is an occlusive and will keep moisture in but
will not penetrate.

I’ve never had any bad effects either. Aquaphor saves me in the winter. 🤷🏼‍♀️
