I love this fragrance. I sprayed it on a strip in a shop in Paris and after a week of being back home the strip still smelled. It is intoxicating. I only use it at night and special occasions. ...

I can't wear it: it is a very strong and harsh, very mossy/bitter/green chypre. Only for those who are real and faithful chypre admirers. Could be extremely overbearing (lasting power = 5, even in...

After Ihad worn this for about an hour I finally realised it was just like Givenchy 3, which I'd grown tired of in the early 90s. Sometimes so much relentless chypre can be dispiriting!

I have owned a one ounce bottle of this for several years. I have worn it in different climates and seasons and conclude it is a wonderful summer humid-climate scent. I love the hit of herbs and...

When I first applied Eau du Soir, the initial burst of green and citrus made me very enthusiastic; it smelled wonderfully fresh! Five minutes later, though, it had settled down into an...

This is a floral chypre with notes of Syringa(rose of the orient), egyptian jasmine, iris, juniper(I hate this note), and fruity notes of grapefruit and mandarin, and deep base notes of amber and...

A friend passed this on to me with the body lotion, YUK, it is so cloying and even after washing my hand I can still smell it. Very overpowering, too masculine and cloying. I can usually find...

To my nose, this is a spicy, clean-smelling chypre. I think this perfume might be one of those that smells radically different depending on the wearer. I wore it to the office today and I like it...

Definitely an "evening" fragrance and one to be applied with a light hand. In the office it would give you a headache and send out the wrong sort of signals. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I go...

Absolutely dismal. Chypre? And where is the green? And what is this awful mixture on my skin? Even the descriptions of musk/amber, etc., aren't enough to save this scent...I can't detect any. To...

Eau du Soir is truly a unique and elegant scent. I find no other even comparable. This chypre is definitely sensual and classy without being too sharp or overpowering. Expensive, but worth it.

Citrusy chypre scent. Very elegant. Similar to Jean-Louis Scherrer. And the bottle with the gold stopper sculpted by artist Bronislaw Krzysztof is so beautiful. Eau du Soir is composed of a...

Frankly, I am surprised that this is described as a chypre, because to my nose it seems more like an Oriental. I found the overall scent to be an unfortunate mishmash of suffocating amber, bitter...
