    Genie de Bois turned out to be as suffocating sugary as Loukhoum. It opens very strong and synthetic. Then it mellow down to smell of woodsy bubble gum.

    Bright, sweet violet--not powdery or cloying. I do smell woods and spices in there, which make it interestingt, but it's not Jolie Madame. I guess JM has become my standard for violet fragrances.

    I get a pleasant woody scent from this with a touch of floral, presumably violet. It's nice, but nothing dramatic, and I definitely don't think it's worth the high price tag.
