I highly recommend the Z-Palettes. But Make Up For Ever's palettes start at $2.+
My Z Palettes have served me for years and are great and compact, which is great value for $28 or so (big suckers, they start around $12 for smaller).

I got three Kjaer Weis eyeshadows during the recent Beautylish sale. All of them are good++
but I really love Charmed. It's a beautiful beige (kind of a light caramel color). Satin finish. Great as an all-over color or for the lid or crease.
