I would still with squirrel, but go with something like Chikuhodo Z-4 or the Hakuhodo 6050/6051.+++
The Hakuhodo brush is a kebo, I have a smaller one for highlight. They look weird, but I prefer them to fan brushes. I'm not a fan of brands like Suqq

Is this user error? Surratt cheek brush applies everything so pigmented+
and I'm a PPP who prefers a more diffused/watercolor effect. Am I just being too heavy handed?
