Niacinamide is fairly gentle, and has brightening and beneficial qualities. YMMV, not everyone can+
use it. I'd stick w/ 4% max if you are sensitive. There are lots of creams and serums w/ niacinamide. The easiest to get in DS would be stuff like

it has been proven to be 1,000 times more effective at stimulating collagen in the skin than retinol yet it is more gentle on the skin.
