#3 by itself isn’t really effective against breakage. It doesn’t repair broken bonds++
Or create new bonds like the two steps 0 and 3. Using either of these steps alone doesn’t do much of anything. I think Olaplex doesn’t make that clea

First off, a trim is essential. Once ends begin to split they will continue to do so, up and up and
Up indefinitely. And hair can become really straggly if it continues. So a good trim to get a nice fresh edge what I do first. Nothing can “repair”
