For home models that are easy to use alone, I love Omron. I use a preformed cuff model ++
which is easier to manage without a second pair of hands. They now come with a ton of extra features for tracking BP - check out their website to help

Get a monitor for home use. Omron makes good ones and they're only around $40-50.
