Gel is the way to go. A UV lamp is around $25 on Amazon +
And you can get multi color polish sets from beetles and modelones for around $10. You’ll need base/top coat that is uv cured as well.

Beetles and Modelones get good reviews from nail techs. Those starter kits rop
usually don't come with a dehydrator or primer. Any brand of dehydrator is fine, but I rec NoLiftNails or Young Nails Protein Bond for a primer.
