I also prefer a conditioner and make my own tinted version using manic panic and a white conditioner
I can control the color and can use it as a toner if I need more time. If I overdo it it fades quick enough.

I haven't used Manic Panic but have considered it. I have used Splat or this one linked from Got2B

I am in Canada and dislike Amazon with a passion. I am thinking of manic panic. I would start with a 1/4 tsp mixed with WHITE conditioner.
