Struggling with DIY babylights tone. I used joico blue shampoo and+
It took a lot of orange out. But the tone still isn't where it was when I initially highlighted my hair. First photo is direcly after highlighting.

I would use toning shampoo, toner fades fast but the shampoo you can use anytime to tone +
I like joico the most from ulta and not your mothers which is a drugstore brand Shimmerlights is good too if you want to stick with Sally’s Let

Thanks! We have hard water, even w/ a shower filter. That might be the culprit. My natural+
hair color is also a bit warm ... at least it always pulls warm, even with salon color. It's been so long since I've had my natural hair color. LOL.

Thank you! This is my first foray into at home hair color so I wasnt+
sure if there was something I should do differently. I use joico conditioner and love it. I'll definitely check out their blue.

I switch out a lot. I like the Olaplex one, the Ion Hard Water shampoo, Fanola No Orange, Joico +
Age Defy and most recently the Sally GVP dupe of Aveda Shampure

I would switch to blue shampoo since it does a better job at toning warmth on the level you have +
Since you say the warmth is new I would stick with your normal color routine but switch to blue shampoo rather than purple to see if it helps first
