I don't know why exactly, but my hair comes out smoother and shinier. It seems to have more
concentrated air flow, plus even on low and medium heat, dries faster than the Elchim

Also considering the Elchim 3900. I have fine, blonde, color treated hair. My main concern with a hair dryer is which contributes to less heat damage.
