That's called drybrush technique. I used each of the individual colors from the other four nails. +
All you do it wipe the brush on the collar of the bottle so there is hardly any polish load on it and "swipe" it on randomly ... like you're cleaning

I suggest adding glycerin based additive to your acetone +
