Has a slightly sweet, vanilla flavor but nothing spectacular, which is good since vanilla wouldn't really freshen your breath.

Maybe because I used peroxide fairly regular and there is not many stains to remove?

These work, yes. Here is my experience. Crest says to use one pack for 30 minutes, twice a day, or wear two one after the other. I'm cheap so I just leave one set on for an hour.
