    I've read that L'eau Diptyque is based on a potpourri recipe from the 1500's. It's spicy and warm and delicious-smelling but in a sheer, understated way. I've also read Shalom Harlow wears this....

    Cinnamon, sandalwood, cloves and roses....Very different than any other fragrance I own. Spicy. Not terribly lasting but I can see this one working for me in the fall and winter. A grown up scent....

    Haven't worn this much since buying it -- its spiciness lends itself, IMO, to being a cooler weather scent and since I live in a fairly warm climate now, I haven't had much of a chance to use it. ...

    This smells exactly like pot pourri, floral and spicy, the predominant notes being rose and clove. Unfortunately on dry down it also reminded me of dentists' mouthwash, probably due to the clove....
