Back in the day (old timer here) a bunch of us on here were using r/o
gel eyedrops to make e/s into liner. You just get your liner brush wet with a drop of the gel eyedrops and then dip it into the e/s. It helps the line

I prefer to use a push eyeliner brush to smudge shadow along the lashline for a diffused look ROP
I use the Nars 45 but Sephora Pro 11 is similar. You could also use an angles brush wet for a more precise line.
