Causes more rips and tears than say the wet brush . Also oil hair beforehand shampoo helps

maybe go for something that's a little bigger and diffuses well? Try the ecotools ++

Your working in, you want to keep wet edges so when you roll into it you have a smooth transition. As far as taping goes I find it easier not to tape.
