Mature skin here - cleanse only in the evening and use Cetaphil or a water
soluble balm. Add a vitamin C serum in the morning. At night use a simple rich moisturizer like Nivea crème or Weleda Skin Food.

I wouldn't necessary go for $$$ cosmetics, unless I really liked the texture. There's not really +
anything in a $500 cream/serum that is that much better, the sensory ingredients aside, the stuff that changes how the ingredient mix looks and feels
