I use glycolic acid, then plain moisturizer and here are my options for cystic acne prone:
LRP toleriane ultra fluid, vanicream, or medical grade brands from ZO Skin Health. I’ve tried CeraVe but sometimes it burned my skin.

I find the neostrata defend nice but will check out the vanicream as well to see the ingredients. Maybe I am applying enough but always feel like it

It takes some time but am glad I found a non-drying all zinc oxide one - Vanicream spf 50. It's soothing for my rosacea skin.
