I answered on Cafe but my personal experience is that it does not damage clothes, it is gentle but+
Dryel smells very chemical and leaves a film on the clothes. I have had better luck using Eucalan and the Laundress soap in my washer's gentlest cycle

I’m super sensitive,and I couldn’t stand the feel that left on my shirt. My silks are mostly r/o
