I would stop the washcloth in pm & use micellar water wipes a.m. & p.m., Simple brand.. ++

My DD had KP on her cheeks too. BHA's worked relatively well. If you have one that works +
for your skin, you could let her try it, though I think if it's something like Stridex that would be too strong, at least daily. A gel or light tone
