Don’t need to file the nail plate but I sometimes do just to help with removing any cuticle- but with a blue tropical shine file, nothing grittier.

I do. I use either just gel base and top or I sometimes add structure gel. ++
For the base I use one from bioseaweed, it says it doesn’t need a prep/primer coat but I do make sure my cuticles are cleared away and ever so lightly
