I bought this in both Olive and Plum. They are indeed gentle: they go on smoothly and do not irritate, but their lasting powder sucks. If you merely swipe at it, half of it's gone.

I bought this pencil in slate. It goes on easily and feels pretty soft compared to other pencils. I had no sensitivity or irritation with this at all. My only complaint is the lack of color...
