Nizoral is an anti-dandruff shampoo containing Ketoconazole. Ketoconazole was discovered in 1976 by Janssen Pharmaceutica, a Belgian pharmaceutical company. It was introduced as a key ingredient in Nizoral shampoo in the U.S. in 1981. The antifungal properties of ketoconazole reduce scalp microflora and consequently may reduce follicular inflammation that contributes to alopecia* It is widely available in retail chains and drugstores worldwide.

I believe this shampoo is quite expensive here where I live so I had it bought from the US.
