Differin is a line of over-the-counter anti-acne skin care owned by Galderma Laboratories. It was introduced in 1996 but was only available by prescription. Then in 2016 the FDA approved a 0.1% gel solution for OTC use. The main anti-acne ingredient found in Differin products is called adapalene, a topical retinoid.
